I think that I have to read all books twice.
Once, for the enjoyment and the second time to make sure I note and write down all the things I find fascinating, the interesting facts and sentences that I wish I could make stick in my brain.

for example , 'They were a matched pair, as country people used to say of horses'

I hope that I turn into a pile of books of notes like these and that no one ever really understands why exactly they were chosen to be written down.
